New/Featured in 2018:
Aerobatic performer Michael Goulian will arrive in Rome, GA fresh on the heels of a championship win during the Red Bull Air Races at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Oct. 7. The win at the Brickyard positions Goulian for a possible international series win in Texas during the final race of the season in November.
Tora! Tora! Tora! Will make a first time appearance during the seventh annual air show in Rome, GA. The reenactment of the attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941 is a powerful combination of warbird aircraft demonstrating dynamic military attack maneuvers, pyrotechnics, actual 1941 radio accounts, and a live narrative of the action.
The show has one of the strongest military and civilian performer air show lineups in the entire southeast for the 2018 season: military and civilian, old and new – warbirds and the newest aviation wonders, elite solo aerobatic performers, group formation flights, military tributes, a large military static display with some of the largest aircraft currently in production available for tours, skydivers, jet cars, and more! There will be more than five hours of flying action each day of the air show weekend.
Purchase a raffle ticket for a chance to participate in the air show – Raffle tickets will be sold with one winner randomly drawn for a chance to win a 200 mph ride in the jet truck during the plane vs jet truck race on Sunday. 100% of the proceeds from the raffle will be donated to the VOIEF (Veterans of Operation Iraqi and Enduring Freedom) organization.
